AI Document Summarizer
Paste a long article, report, or document and get the key points back in seconds, generated by Gemini AI.
How to use the summarizer
- Paste the full text of a document, article, or report into the box above.
- Click “Summarize.”
- Read the 4-6 bullet-point summary generated from your text.
Unlike every other tool in this suite, this one calls a server-side AI model (Gemini) rather than running entirely in your browser — see the FAQ below for what that means for your data.
Quick answer
An AI document summarizer condenses a long document, article, or report into a short list of its key points using a language model, rather than a simple word-frequency extraction. This tool sends your pasted text to Google's Gemini AI model and returns a concise 4-6 bullet-point summary, free and without requiring a sign-up.
Document Summarizer — FAQs
Every other tool in the Utility Tools Suite runs entirely in your browser with no server involved. This one sends your text to a server endpoint that calls Google's Gemini AI model to generate a summary, since genuine summarization requires a language model — there's no honest purely client-side way to do that.
No — the text is sent to the summarization endpoint for processing and is not saved to any database. It's used only to generate the summary returned to you in that single request.
This feature requires a server-side API key to be set up for this deployment. If you're seeing that message, it means the key hasn't been configured yet — every other tool on this site is unaffected and works normally.
Very long input is truncated to a maximum length before being sent to the AI model, to keep the request reliable. For most articles, reports, and documents, this limit is well beyond what you'd typically paste in.
